The men's 800 m went off at 14:25 and Brandon Miller won it in 1:42.19, a personal best, two weeks after winning at the Prefontaine Classic in 1:43.68. Mark English of Ireland was second in 1:42.97, also a lifetime best, and Max Burgin third in 1:43.30. Emmanuel Wanyonyi, eight days after his 1000 m world record in Monaco, was fourth in 1:43.31. Ben Pattison ran 1:43.34, Peter Bol 1:43.60, the second-fastest of his career, and Cian McPhillips 1:43.97. Bryce Hoppel was tenth in 1:45.32.
Keely Hodgkinson won the women's 800 m in 1:56.21 from Femke Bol, the hurdler turned two-lap runner, who ran 1:56.46. Tsige Duguma was third in 1:56.92, a season's best, and Sarah Billings of Australia fourth in 1:58.16. Hodgkinson had lost to Lilian Odira in Eugene a fortnight earlier.
In the 3000 m, Jessica Hull won in 8:24.69 with Rose Davies second in 8:25.38, an Australian one-two, and Sarah Healy of Ireland third in 8:25.63. Hull finished half a second outside the Australian record. Hannah Nuttall ran 8:26.48, Fantaye Belayneh 8:26.98, Linden Hall 8:27.16 and Georgia Griffith 8:27.94. Nicola Olyslagers won the high jump at 2.01 m on countback from the world record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh.
Hull and Davies fly to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games on the strength of that. Hodgkinson, on this evidence, is not finished with 2026 either.
