Kevin Stewart, 36, from Gilroy, California, ran 20:41:09, getting past Jose Cruz, who had won the race in 2023 and 2025. Cruz finished in 21:14 and Keaton Larrabee was third in 22:05.
Sarah Ostaszewski, 35, from Durango, Colorado, won the women's race in 25:18:50 and was hours ahead of everyone else; Astrid Lindgren was second in 27:40 and Lindsay Phenix third. Ostaszewski has the Mammoth 200 Mile in three weeks.
The course runs point to point through the Wasatch Range with about 24,000 feet of climbing. Its drop-bag stations tell the story of the day: Big Mountain Pass at 31.9 miles, the Lamb's Canyon underpass at 47.5, Brighton Lodge at 69.3 with a 7:30 am cut-off the next morning, and the finish at 100 miles with a 5 pm Saturday deadline. The organisers list 396 starters and 236 finishers, a bigger field and a bigger finish than 2025, when 205 of 322 got there.
A race old enough to be run on a schedule of cut-offs rather than splits. Sixty percent made all of them.
